BOOKING - PRACTICAL COURSES

While we would all like to just jump on a yacht and go sailing, there are a few administrative things that we need to get through first.

The below contains details of the process of booking and paying for your booking with Britsail. If everything remains as clear as mud after reading through this, please don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.

STEP 1 - Booking form

STEP 2 - Confirm Booking

Completing the booking form doesn't commit you to anything, it simply gives us all of the information we need to make sure we can provide you with the best possible service and ensure that you are booking on to the most appropriate course.

You may have already spoken to a member of the team and confirmed dates and availability, but if you haven't a member of the team will be in touch just as soon as they can. Once you have confirmed dates we request a deposit payment to secure the booking... STEP 3

Please note we do not have dedicated office staff, we all work out on the water or in the classroom, so please leave a message if we are unable to answer the phone. An email or text is easier for us to respond to and we will get back to you as soon as is humanly possible.

STEP 3 - Deposit Payment

Once your dates are confirmed we request the payment of a deposit to secure bookings further out than 6 weeks, or payment in full for bookings 6 weeks or less before the start of the course/ cruise, in which case go straight to STEP 4.

- Deposit of £45 for one day or single weekend Practical Courses/ Cruising
- Deposit of £90 for 5 day or longer Practical Courses/ Cruising

- Deposit of £90 for a whole boat booking of less than 5 days
- Deposit of £400 for a whole boat booking of 5 days or more

We would be grateful if you could confirm via email when you have made a payment so that we can check on our side to avoid any delays.

If none of these methods of payment work for you please let us know rather than not booking the course and we will certainly be able to work something out!

STEP 4 - Balance Payment

Six weeks prior to the start of the course, or on the day of booking if you are booking less than six weeks prior to the start of the course, we require payment of the outstanding balance... don't worry, if you forget about it we will remind you!

Once booking has been made if required additional more comprehensive documentation giving details of the sailing school’s safety and procedures policy will be provided.
